About This Blog
This blog is the result of a late-night meditation on how I hardly ever do all the things I think about doing. It’s an effort to prove to myself that if I put my mind to it (and perhaps have a little outside help on the motivation front), I can actually finish something.
To keep this blog going for a year, posting at least once a week. Posts apologizing for not posting don’t count.
With any luck, writing here will get me in the habit of writing regularly in general, and perhaps my newfound sticktoitiveness will transfer to other parts of my life that could use an extra dose of motivation.
If all else fails, I’ll have a record of a year in my life, and all the crazy random thoughts and adventures I had during 2013.
UPDATE: This plan actually worked really well until I got a full-time internship in Louisville, Kentucky, at which point I started having more things to do outside the internet, and thus more things to write about, but less time and energy to do it.
It was a partial, thought not complete, success.
I am a graduate from Denison University in Ohio, and currently living in the Silicon Valley, California. I studied Theatre and Creative Writing–both eminently practical majors, of course. I’m a stage manager, which means I have a plethora of black clothing and an inordinate love of office supplies. I hope to one day stage manage full time, and recently returned from a year in Louisville, Kentucky as stage management intern at Actors Theatre of Louisville.
I’m an Anglophile–I love British television, British history, British accents, British geography, etc. My favorite show is Doctor Who, and I’m still adjusting to the idea that it’s actually a big thing now. In a perfect world, I would one day be able to live in England or Wales for a while. Ac, dw i’n trio dysgu siarad Cymraeg.
